Organized by the CODEP <\/strong>de la Dr\u00f4me, it is 4 new routes that are proposed.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The Vercors course<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Departure to the small picturesque village of Rochefort Samson<\/strong> (alt 400m).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After a few pedal turns to warm up, it’s already the Col de Tourniol (FR-26-1145<\/a>)<\/strong>. Cross L\u00e9oncel, pass in front of the Cistercian Abbey and a long descent behind the Montagne de l’Epenet leads to Pont-en-Royans<\/strong> and its houses hanging over the river.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The route then follows the magnificent gorges of the Bourne to reach La Balme de Rencurel<\/strong>, the place of refreshment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The road then takes us to Saint-Julien-en-Vercors and leads us to the rough slopes of the Col d’Herbouilly (FR-38-1370<\/a>)<\/strong> and the Col de Chalimont (FR-38-1365a<\/a>).\u00a0 <\/strong>Then, passing by the Calvary of Valchevri\u00e8re, a high place of the Resistance, a long descent leads to the heart of the Vercors plateau in Villard-de-Lans, <\/strong>point of lodging for the option ”\u00a0tourist\u00a0” (formula on 2 days).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The second part of the route leads to Autrans (winter sports resort) via the Col de la Croix Perrin (FR-38-1218<\/a>)<\/strong> and then to M\u00e9audre, a very pretty green resort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By the superb gorges of Meaudret, we find the gorges of the Bourne with passages in overhang of the river, until the Balme of Rencurel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then it’s the climb to the Col de Romey\u00e8re (FR-38-1069b<\/a>)<\/strong> by the Ecouges road and to the Col du Mont Noir (FR-38-1421<\/a>)<\/strong> located in the For\u00eat Domaniale des Coulmes, the highest point of the CM du Vercors. A long descent by the Col de Toute Aures (FR-38-0560b<\/a>), <\/strong>beautiful viewpointjoins againPont-en-Royans (Water museum)!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ste Eulalie-en-Royans<\/strong> is the refreshment point of the day. The last part of the course of the 2023 edition will be done with an alternation of hills by St Jean en Royans, then\u00a0 a passage at the foot of the ruins of the castle of Rochechinard, a descent on St Nazaire en Royans. Finally discovery of Hostun, in the middle of walnut trees that are part of the PDO of the walnut, before arriving at the village of Rochefort Samson<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
