Saturday 27 May 2023<\/strong> – Plancher-les-Mines (Haute-Sa\u00f4ne)<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Haute-Sa\u00f4ne d\u00e9partement lies at the southern end of the Vosges. It takes its name from the River Sa\u00f4ne, which crosses it from north to south. It’s a big river as well, 473 km long and the third longest in France.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Plancher-les-Mines is sited in the high Rahin valley and, as its name suggests, the town has a long history of industry and mining, now in a steep decline, that has marked the area’s valleys. Today, Plancher-les-Mines rises from its ashes thanks to the Planche des Belles Filles, a focus of international cyclesport and especially of the Tour de France.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Those at this reginal get-together set off on a road circuit and an MTB circuit to collect some Haut-Sa\u00f4nois cols and meet up at the Planche des belles Filles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This Saturday 27 May 2023 the Grand-Est regional meeting took place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The start was at Plancher les Mines (70290) and the finish at the Planche des\u00a0Belles\u00a0Filles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We numbered 43 between the MTB circuit offered by Christophe BADONNEL, the road circuit proposed by Philippe PILLET and the simple climb of the Planche.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many of us came directly from TOODMOS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The weather and the ambience were warm.\u00a0 Many thanks to all who took part, with a specisal thanks to Christophe FOLLETETE for his local specialities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
