Der Col du Vallon oder Col des Tufs (2525m, DE-73-2530<\/a>, IGN Topo 53 3434-O 048-035) ist ein wundersch\u00f6ner Maultierpfad, der sich s\u00fcdwestlich des Col de la Croix de Fer (DE-73-2064a<\/a>) in Richtung des Pic de l'\u00c9tendard. Er bietet grandiose Ausblicke auf das Massiv der Sept-Laux im Westen und, jenseits des Passes, auf die wundersch\u00f6nen Nadeln von Arves im Osten.<\/p>\n\n\n

Ab dem Col du Vallon f\u00fchrt eine nur 5 km lange Schleife \u00fcber zwei weitere P\u00e4sse auf \u00fcber 2000 m H\u00f6he, w\u00e4hrend man an den Ufern zweier Seen entlangl\u00e4uft, die durch die Schmelze des Gletschers von Saint-Sorlin gespeist werden.
Starten Sie in Saint-Sorlin d'Arves und steigen Sie auf der Stra\u00dfe bis zum Col de la Croix de Fer auf 2064m auf. Auf dem Gipfel biegen Sie links auf einen breiten Weg ab, der fast eben an der Bergflanke entlangf\u00fchrt (R1).

Bei der H\u00f6he 2069 beginnt der eigentliche Aufstieg: 3 km mit einem Durchschnitt von 15,4%. Der Weg ist in gutem Zustand, breit und rollend, aber die Steigung ist sehr stark und zwingt oft zum Gehen. Auf dem Gipfel befindet sich der Pic de l'\u00c9tendard (3464m), der von glitzernden Gletschern ges\u00e4umt wird. Der Abstieg (R1) f\u00fchrt etwa 300 m nach unten, dann biegen Sie links auf einen schmalen Pfad (S2) ab, der zum Col Nord des Lacs (2533 m) f\u00fchrt. DE-73-2533a<\/a>) ganz in der N\u00e4he. Der Blick nach Osten ist wundersch\u00f6n, w\u00e4hrend sich unterhalb im Westen der tiefblaue Gro\u00dfe See einnistet.<\/p>\n\n\n

Begegnung auf dem Gipfel! Im Hintergrund: der Gletscher von Saint-Sorlin unter dem Pic de l'\u00c9tendard. Hinter dem Maultier sieht man den Beginn des Pfades S2, der zum S\u00fcdpass der Seen f\u00fchrt. Unterhalb davon liegt der Gro\u00dfe See und der Weg, der ihn im Westen begrenzt.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

Gehen Sie den Pfad (S2) hinunter, der an der Bergflanke oberhalb des Ostsees verl\u00e4uft. Am Ende des Weges biegen Sie links ab und erreichen sehr leicht den Col Sud des Lacs (2476m). Gehen Sie leicht zur\u00fcck, \u00fcberqueren Sie den Damm der Staumauer des Lac Blanc und folgen Sie dem Pfad R1, der am Westufer des Gro\u00dfen Sees entlangf\u00fchrt.<\/p>\n\n\n

Man st\u00f6\u00dft auf die Refuge de l'\u00c9tendard, wo man Getr\u00e4nke und Mahlzeiten bestellen kann. \u00dcber einen kurzen Anstieg (R1) gelangt man wieder zum Col du Vallon. Die R\u00fcckkehr zum Col de la Croix de Fer erfolgt problemlos auf dem Fahrrad (R1).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vier P\u00e4sse auf \u00fcber 2000m in 17km mit grandiosen Landschaften als Bonus. Der Col du Vallon ist auf jeden Fall einen Umweg wert.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
