Author: Jean-Luc Ceccato
Route completed on 14 September 2020
Start : Schiltach, several free car parks including one along the Kinzig at the junction of Haupstrasse and Auestrasse. Alt : 330 m
For accommodation, I recommend the Gasthof zum Weysen Rossle. Rose-Marie Wolber is very friendly and speaks French. The food is very good.

Technical description
This route presents no difficulties, and was completed with a mountain bike fitted with 40 Gravel tyres, with no problems whatsoever. The route is about 50% on nice rolling tracks and the rest on tarmac roads.
To get to the DE-BW-0476 pass, I’d advise you to go up and down the side of the loop that I went down, about 300 m, because the part I went up required me to cross an electrified fence and drive inside the field.
At km 17.7 of the route, cross the river directly and avoid the loop that I did unnecessarily, to get back on the route at km 19.9.
Once you have reached the DE-BW-0505a pass, an easy 200 m push takes you back to a track.
As with most routes in the Black Forest, there are often some fairly steep slopes to contend with.
