{"id":80146,"date":"2025-03-27T20:30:51","date_gmt":"2025-03-27T18:30:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/centcols.org\/?p=80146"},"modified":"2025-09-01T16:38:46","modified_gmt":"2025-09-01T14:38:46","slug":"one-hundred-passes-in-southern-corsica","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/centcols.org\/en\/cent-cols-dans-le-sud-de-la-corse\/","title":{"rendered":"A hundred passes in southern Corsica"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Presentation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A 926km route between sea and mountains in the south of Corsica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">926 km over 101 passes between 19 and 1311 m (total vertical drop: over 20,000 m), with 23 nearby passes optional. 12 passes are shared with the permanent \u00ab\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/centcols.org\/en\/one-hundred-passes-in-northern-corsica\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">A hundred passes in northern Corsica<\/a>\u00a0\" <\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Note: no more track sections, all road sections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Accommodation is available without booking, in hotels, g\u00eetes or campsites (with or without bungalows) from Easter to the end of June and from September to All Saints' Day, which are all possible periods for this tour. For Guy de Maupassant, Corsica is above all: \u00abA mountain in the sea\u00bb. It's the southern part of this mountain that we invite you to explore with this permanent walk based on the theme :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Discover the south of Corsica via 100 passes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One hundred passes to join the Brotherhood of the Hundred Passes. You will then have to continue your quest in other higher mountain ranges to obtain at least 5 passes over 2,000 metres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One hundred passes to move up the \u00abroll of honour of the brotherhood\u00bb or simply, 100 passes to soak up this wilderness, these breathtaking landscapes and keep them in your memories in the words of Charles Maurras: \u00abThere are places where you stay for a long time without leaving anything behind. There are places that I have only passed through and that have left a deep imprint on me. Corsica is one of those places.
