Some settings are common to all, or several types, while others are specific to a single type. This is also where you can save the list of passes you have climbed, so that ccWay can differentiate between passes already climbed and those yet to be climbed.<\/p>\n<p>The pass list and output file preferences are saved permanently on the server, until you change them again. So you don't have to re-enter them each time you use ccWay. On your first visit, your settings will have default values (except for the pass list, which will be empty); these default values are 'reasonable' values that can be used directly without changes. The settings page is only available in <em>member<\/em>After you have logged in to ccWay as a member. In <em>visitor<\/em> the page simply doesn't appear.<\/p>\n<p>The page is divided into sections, one for the list of collars, and one for each output format. Each section has buttons to manage the recording of the section.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>One button <em>assistance<\/em> which displays a help page specific to the section : <img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Help button\" src=\"https:\/\/centcols.org\/util\/geo\/ccWay\/doc\/help_blu.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/li>\n<li>One button <em>registration<\/em> which records your preferences for <u>this section only<\/u> on the server : <img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Save button\" src=\"https:\/\/centcols.org\/util\/geo\/ccWay\/butSave.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/li>\n<li>For the output file preferences sections, a <em>Reset<\/em> which <u>this section only<\/u> to its default values: <img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Reset button\" src=\"https:\/\/centcols.org\/util\/geo\/ccWay\/butReset.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/li>\n<li>For the list of collars, a <em>Empty<\/em> which allows you to empty the list of collars : <img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Empty button\" src=\"https:\/\/centcols.org\/util\/geo\/ccWay\/butTrash.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Specific details of each section are available on its individual help page. Below is a summary of the sections, with the numbers referring to the screenshot above<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Save the list of collars<\/strong> (<a href=\"https:\/\/centcols.org\/en\/aide-ccway-liste-cols\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">details<\/a>). Contains a single box in which you paste the list of pass codes you have already completed. The list is cumulative, i.e. any new list pasted here is added to the saved list and does not replace it.<\/li>\n<li><strong>GPX-specific options<\/strong> (<a href=\"https:\/\/centcols.org\/en\/aide-ccway-gpx\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">details<\/a>). You can change the format of the pass code display, the character set of the file, the content of certain fields in the file, the GPS symbols by pass category and by status <em>climbed \/ to climb<\/em>. You can also specify whether you want to include the Garmin-specific GPXX extension, and if so, set the parameters for displaying passes in this extension.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Specific KML options<\/strong> (<a href=\"https:\/\/centcols.org\/en\/aide-ccway-kml\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">details<\/a>). Only one option: the format of the collar code display.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Carto Exploreur specific options<\/strong> (<a href=\"https:\/\/centcols.org\/en\/aide-ccway-ce3\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">details<\/a>). You can change the format of the collar code display, the GPS symbols by collar category and by status <em>climbed \/ to climb<\/em> and appearance (text and background colours) of collar labels by collar category and status <em>climbed \/ to climb.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>Options and controls common to all sections<\/h2>\n<h3>Save\" button <img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Save button\" src=\"https:\/\/centcols.org\/util\/geo\/ccWay\/butSave.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/h3>\n<p>Quite obvious... Pressing this button saves the changes you have made to the <u>this section only<\/u>. So don't change several sections at once, because only the changes made to the section where the button you clicked is located will be saved. A confirmation message will appear at the top left of the page once you have saved your changes:<img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Registration confirmation message\" src=\"https:\/\/centcols.org\/util\/geo\/ccWay\/doc\/saveConf.png\" alt=\"\" \/>.<\/p>\n<p><u><em>Don't forget to click on the \"Save\" buttons to save your changes!<\/em><\/u><\/p>\n<h3>Reset\" button <img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Reset button\" src=\"https:\/\/centcols.org\/util\/geo\/ccWay\/butReset.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/h3>\n<p>This button resets all the <u>section concerned only<\/u> to their default values. Use this if you have made changes you are not happy with and want to return to predictable values. A confirmation message will appear at the top left of the page after the section has been reset:<img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Reset confirmation message\" src=\"https:\/\/centcols.org\/util\/geo\/ccWay\/doc\/resetConf.png\" alt=\"\" \/>.<\/p>\n<h3>Waypoint name format (pass codes)<\/h3>\n<p>This option is common to all output formats. It controls the format of waypoint names in geolocation software that will use the files produced by ccWay. Three formats are possible:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The pass code (default value). This is the classic format, for example DE-BY-1144 for the Salzmaiergatterl in Bavaria.<\/li>\n<li>The code without country. Identical to the previous one, without the ISO country code, for example BY-1144 for the same collar. This makes for a slightly more compact display.<\/li>\n<li>A PCX5-compatible name (the old format used on very old GPS receivers). This is a name of no more than 6 characters, made up of capital letters and sometimes numbers, which will be unique on the output file. For example, SLZMIR for the same pass. Depending on the content of your extraction, these synthetic names will vary.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Here is an example of the three formats for this pass name, as seen on MapSource. Note that when the waypoint name is not the full pass code, the pass code accompanies the pass name in the GPX field. <em>Comment<\/em>.
