CartoExploreur options<\/h2>\n

\u00a0\"\"<\/h1>\n

This section of the settings page allows you to modify certain parameters of the Carto Exploreur files produced by ccWay.<\/p>\n

Waypoint name format<\/h3>\n

Details of this option, which is common to both GPX and KML output files, can be found on the user guide<\/a> from the Settings page.<\/p>\n

GPS symbols<\/h3>\n

These symbols are not used - so as not to overload the map - on the display of passes on the Carto Exploreur base maps; however, they do appear in the list of waypoints for each category of pass; they are also transferred to the GPS if you use Carto Exploreur in this way.<\/p>\n

\"\"The default set of symbols (see opposite) is identical to that used in the basic GPX files and designates each of the 8 pass categories (Road, Cycle, etc...) for passes already climbed and for passes to be climbed. By default, the numbers 0 to 7 are shown in red for passes already climbed and in green for passes yet to be climbed. The names of the symbols are often in English (see opposite).<\/p>\n

As with the GPX format, the symbols here are not subject to any standard, so it is up to you to use symbols that will come out correctly on Carto Exploreur and whose meaning is clear to you as the user. No syntactic or semantic validation is performed by ccWay on the content of these 16 fields.<\/p>\n

Note that for the GPX format, the English descriptions of these numbers were used. For Carto Exploreur, these are numerical identifiers which correspond to the same symbols; for example, for the 'Poussage difficile' 'D\u00e9j\u00e0 grimp\u00e9s' category it is 8324<\/em> on Carto Exploreur, while it was Number 3, Red<\/em> for GPX files.<\/p>\n

Label colours<\/h3>\n

\"\"A pass is represented in Carto Exploreur by a rectangular label on top of a point where the pass is located. By default, for passes to be climbed, these labels use black text on a coloured background specific to each pass category. For passes that have already been climbed, the negative of this colour scheme is used: coloured text specific to each pass category on a black background. See opposite.<\/p>\n

For each of the 16 label types (2 x 8 categories) you can change both the text colour and the background colour. For example, suppose you wanted to change the default colour scheme for category 4 climbing passes (difficult push). The default colours are : \"\". The colour scheme for each label has three boxes; the left box is the text colour, the middle box is the background colour, and the right box is an example of the resulting label.<\/p>\n

\"\"To change the colour of the text, click on the box on the left, which is currently black text on a grey font. A colour table appears, with the current text colour flashing yellow (opposite right). Your mouse cursor changes to a cross. Click (single left click) on the new colour you want. In this example, I've chosen magenta near the centre of the table (line 6, column 11). As soon as you click, the colour scheme of the label changes to reflect the change: \"\".<\/p>\n

\"\"Now change the background colour by clicking on the middle box. As with the text colour, a colour table is displayed and the current background colour flashes yellow (opposite left). Your mouse cursor will change to a cross. Click on the new colour you want. In this example, I've chosen apple green, third row from the bottom and sixth column from the right. As soon as you click, the colour scheme of the label changes to reflect the change: \"\". Don't forget to save the 'Carto Exploreur Specific Options' section, otherwise your changes will be lost.<\/strong><\/p>\n
