Each year, members of the Club des Cent Cols declare the passes they have climbed by sending a list to their territorial delegate. In the past, the Club has not recorded these declarations and there is therefore no centralised record of them. In some cases, however, this data may be useful, and members may wish to record it themselves. This document explains why and how. Indicative registration should not be confused with official online pass declaration<\/a>which is the subject of a specific documentation<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In the waypoints application ccWay<\/a>In the past, members have always been able to save a list of the pass codes they have climbed. This makes it possible to obtain files with only the passes that have already been climbed, or only those that have not yet been climbed. Or to display them all but in a different way. The new pass record takes over these functions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Alongside ccWay, a new product from the Club des Cents Cols uses the passes recorded by the members themselves. These are the road patents<\/a>. For these brevets, the passes made in the past can obviously be counted. There can be no question of having them checked again by the territorial delegates (TDs). Members must therefore be able to record the passes they have ridden themselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Indicative registration is therefore distinct from the official declaration of new passes, which is verified by a TD. The two processes are therefore quite separate, and it is essential to bear this distinction in mind. After registration, however, all passes are visible in ccWay and for patents, whether they are old and 'indicative' or new and officially declared.<\/p>\n\n\n\n As one of the aims was to use it in ccWay, the pass registration was initially taken over from this application. In ccWay, the code lists were never checked and were therefore the sole responsibility of the members. This principle remains with the new pass registration and all the code lists that members had entered in ccWay have now been transferred to a database. Except that in ccWay it was possible to enter codes that did not correspond to any pass (this was not checked). These meaningless codes were not included in the new database. When the new system was launched, the passes registered in this way were listed for each member on the page of its passes<\/a>. If necessary, see some questions and answers<\/a> at the end of this document.<\/p>\n\n\n\n To save a list of passes for reference purposes, you first need to prepare it in the form of a file. This can be done in Calc or Excel, for example. The only data required for each pass is its code. Unlike the official declaration, neither the name nor the altitude is required, as this is not verified. After the pass code (separated by comma, semicolon or tab), you can enter the date on which the pass was first passed, either the year alone, the month (number) and year, or the full date with day, month and year, separated by hyphens, slashes or dots. Examples: 2011 or 05-2012 or 17-6-2013. It is also possible to add the year in which the pass was counted on its membership form, but in this case you must first specify the date of passage (to avoid confusion between the two dates). Finally, the data should be presented in one to three columns. The list must not contain inverted commas!<\/p>\n\n\n\n On the club's website, you'll find information about the passes passed by members at this address: Once you have checked the display, you can go back and correct the list if necessary. If not, simply click on the button to save the list. You can then check that everything has been saved by consulting your personal list of passes<\/a> (\"made passes\" on the menu).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Question<\/strong>On the overview of my passes<\/a>I see that my cols enregistr\u00e9s<\/a> are fewer than those officially counted on my membership form<\/a>. Why is this? Q<\/strong>I've understood the above and I'm sure I've recorded all the codes for the passes I've climbed. And yet I still don't get the same number as on my membership form. How can this be? Q<\/strong>Why don't some countries have regional patents? Q<\/strong>: In one of my patents, I see a pass that is actually forbidden. Do I have to do it? You need to log in as a member to reach this page. In the menu that appears, there is a section for registering \"other passes\". Selecting it brings up a page with a large box into which you can paste your list of passes. The data must be separated by commas, semi-colons or tabs, as explained above. At the bottom of the page is a button for sending the list. An initial analysis is then displayed, indicating whether the codes submitted have been found in the pass database and whether they have already been entered in the personal list. Depending on the case, you can choose to add these passes or replace those already present. If a pass has already been officially declared, it is not possible, nor is it necessary, to replace it.<\/p>\n\n\n\nQuestions and answers (FAQ)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
Answer<\/strong>Passes declared in the past have not been recorded by the Club. The list of indicative registered passes is therefore left to the responsibility of the members themselves. Initially, it was filled in with the codes registered in ccWay, but this list may well have been incomplete. It may even have contained incorrect codes or (for border passes) several codes for the same pass. These are all reasons why the registration of old passes is described as indicative. It's up to the members themselves to take care of it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
R<\/strong>The passes officially declared and counted on the membership form are not all part of the database of valid passes. Firstly, there are those declared in countries (or regions) that did not yet have an official catalogue. They were therefore counted despite the fact that they did not have codes and in some cases perhaps did not fully comply with the current rules of the game, so will never have a code. Then there are the passes that were catalogued and declared but subsequently deleted. For some countries, these passes are kept as deleted passes; for others, the deletions have yet to be documented (e.g. Italy's regional catalogues). In both cases, if the member has not removed them from his total, a discrepancy will persist with the passes in the database, which can be recorded for information purposes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
R<\/strong>It has been decided that all countries with fewer than 10 road passes will have only one national brevet and no regional brevets. For some other countries, it was the working group for the passes in that country that decided this. As with any game or challenge, you need rules...<\/p>\n\n\n\n
R<\/strong>: Our database isn\u2019t perfect! In such cases, please send an email to <\/span> and the case will be reviewed. If a pass is marked as prohibited in our database, it will be removed from the certificates (this is the exception to the rule that a certificate is defined once and for all at the time of registration).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
R<\/strong>Make a partial declaration. It will always be early enough to send the final declaration at the end of the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
