Por aquel entonces, militaba en el Cyclos de la Vall\u00e9e de Th\u00f6nes. En las \u00faltimas d\u00e9cadas, adem\u00e1s de su trabajo como profesor de arte, se hab\u00eda embarcado en nuevas aventuras, como alcalde de su ciudad natal, La Chapelle, en la regi\u00f3n de Maurienne, de 2001 a 2020, y consejero general del cant\u00f3n de La Chambre, de 2011 a 2015.
