Altura: 700 m<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Informaci\u00f3n tur\u00edstica<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Sierra Nevada es una cadena monta\u00f1osa de este a oeste. Se form\u00f3 al mismo tiempo que los Alpes, cuando chocaron las placas africana y euroasi\u00e1tica.  El Pico del Veleta (3.396 m) es el tercer pico m\u00e1s alto de Espa\u00f1a y est\u00e1 situado en el extremo occidental de la cordillera, sobre la ciudad de Granada. La \u201ccarretera m\u00e1s alta de Europa\u201d (t\u00edtulo discutido) asciende casi hasta la cumbre.
