Entrato nel club nel 2003, G\u00e9rald ha partecipato a numerosi soggiorni. Ha lavorato per molti anni al servizio del club: traduttore (articoli del nostro sito, modulo di iscrizione ai soggiorni), autore di La saga del Parpaillon<\/a> (raccolta di articoli pubblicati sulla rivista dal 1970 al 2020 su questo leggendario passo). Quest'estate aveva accettato di assumere la carica di Delegato Nazionale per il Regno Unito e l'Irlanda in sostituzione di J\u00e9r\u00e9my Chandler, quest'ultimo affetto da problemi di salute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Avrebbe dovuto partecipare al soggiorno estivo a Vaison-la-Romaine, ma il 19 agosto mi ha comunicato che avrebbe dovuto rinunciare perch\u00e9 la malattia lo aveva indebolito al punto da impedirgli di affrontare il viaggio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Amorevole dell'Ubaye, per 25 anni ha soggiornato all'hotel Cheval Blanc di Barcelonnette, di cui era il cliente pi\u00f9 fedele. Attraversato il 26 giugno 2025, il Baisse de P\u00e9gui\u00e9ou FR-04-2400a \u00e8 stato il suo ultimo passo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Paulette Autric, che era la persona che lo conosceva meglio, mi diceva: \u00ab\u00c8 spensierato, non vedeva il pericolo\u00bb.
