Jean WEIL (1948-2023)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cent Cols n\u00b0 7187 sinds 2011<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jean was onze voorzitter en bovenal onze vriend. Hij maakte van de ASUC, zijn club in hart en nieren, een grote familie, iets speciaals; iedereen, fietser, cyclo of begeleider, kon een kostbare steen bijdragen aan dit bouwwerk in eeuwige constructie: een soort Sagrada Familia. Op 11 september 2023 begon hij aan zijn ultieme epos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Als boswachter van beroep en overtuiging verdedigde hij zijn hele leven lang zijn \u00abBos\u00bb met kracht, enthousiasme en vasthoudendheid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

- Als kind ondergedompeld in de hero\u00efsche sfeer van de Tours de France van weleer, gefascineerd door de heldendaden van Coppi, Anquetil en Bahamont\u00e8s, werd hij voor altijd verliefd op de kleine koningin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Als jager in de bergen tijdens zijn militaire dienst, ontwikkelde hij een voorliefde voor inspanning, vriendschap en ... de bergen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Als fervent langlaufer (met als hoogtepunt een onvergetelijke Vasalopett) en full-back voor de voetbalclub in zijn Elzasser dorp Uhrwiller, waar hij jarenlang locoburgemeester was, heeft hij herhaaldelijk zijn kwaliteiten als concurrent, teamspeler en teamspeler laten zien.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Door deze rijke ervaringen naast elkaar te leggen, wijdde hij zich natuurlijk aan fietstochten en maakte er een manier van leven van, een filosofie, een focus voor ontelbare avonturen, altijd gedeeld.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 Jean Weil was een eclectische fietser. Hij en zijn vrouw Jo\u00eblle beklommen elk meer dan 1000 bergpassen! Met AS Uhrwiller Cyclo bezochten ze alle ongewone hoeken van Frankrijk en de daken van Europa. Van langeafstandsritten tot dagelijkse uitdagingen, van de Ronde van Vlaanderen tot Parijs-Roubaix, van de Amstel Gold Race tot Luik-Bastenaken-Luik, van de Dolomieten tot de vijf grote Franse bergketens, van Oostenrijk tot Spanje, en niet te vergeten Zwitserland, Luxemburg of Duitsland, van Thonon tot Tri\u00ebst of Antibes, ze hebben met trots de groene ASUC-kleuren gedragen. Op hun mountainbikes, vergezeld van hun vrienden, hebben ze alle muilezelpassen in de Vogezen veroverd, van de Outre-For\u00eat tot de Ballons.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jean, we zullen je niet missen omdat je bij ons bent, je zult altijd onze gids zijn.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
