Presentatie<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Aan de rand van Oost-Lotharingen strekt het Pays de Bitche zich uit in de richting van de Elzas, van de uitgestrekte horizonten van het Lotharingse plateau tot de bossen van de noordelijke Vogezen. Het Bitscherland is een voornamelijk beboste regio en lijkt een beetje verloren in het Lotharingse landschap. Het is een UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve.
De belangrijkste boomsoorten hier zijn beuk (Buche), eik (Eich) en spar (Rottanne), waaronder de Hanau den die gewaardeerd wordt om zijn lange, rechte stam. Hier en daar vind je ook kastanjebomen. Als je geluk hebt, kun je herten, ree\u00ebn of wilde zwijnen zien, die hier allemaal in overvloed voorkomen.
Het gesteente bestaat uit zandsteen (Sandstein). Er zijn een aantal imposante rotsen (Felsen) en natuurlijk stonden er op deze hoge uitlopers in de Middeleeuwen een aantal kastelen, waarvan we de ru\u00efnes zullen ontdekken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kortom, het Pays de Bitche zal je veroveren met zijn rijke boslandschappen, zijn vijvers, zijn historische plaatsen en zijn vakmanschap (kristalkunst).
De stad Bitche ligt aan de Hoorn, in een schilderachtige depressie omzoomd door beboste heuvels. Uitkijkend over de stad heeft de imposante citadel, versterkt door Vauban en daarna Cormontaigne, de oorlogen overleefd. Het is het eerste wat je ziet als je Bitche nadert. Het staat trots op zijn roze zandstenen rots en de stad is er letterlijk omheen gegroeid. Vanaf dit rotsachtige voorgebergte heb je een ononderbroken uitzicht over de hele regio.
De VVF die ons verwelkomt ligt aan de oevers van het meer Hasselfurth, dat het beboste deel van de stad vormt. Als je gaat kamperen, raden we je de gemeentelijke camping Haspelschiedt aan.
Onderweg passeer je de GOP's van Mont Sainte Odile, Obersteinbach, Philippsbourg, Saverne, Dabo en Lutzelbourg, evenals een aantal historische sites en een bezienswaardigheid op het circuit van Saverne: een schuitenlift. Aarzel niet om te stoppen en een bezoekje te brengen.
Wat mountainbiken betreft, gaan de meeste routes over R1-paden. Dit bos is gekapt, wat de overvloed aan paden verklaart. Erosie heeft veel zand op de paden achtergelaten en als het voorwiel omhoog schuurt, vooral tijdens een snelle afdaling, kun je de controle verliezen en vallen, dus wees voorzichtig! We kunnen ook een aantal Maginotlinie-structuren zien en in het bijzonder steken we de anti-tankgracht over, waarvoor we de enige last van de tocht moeten dragen.
Niet-fietsers worden niet vergeten: een lijst met must-see bezoeken en activiteiten zal worden opgehangen bij de VVF. We bieden ook een wandeling van 5 km in de ochtend en dezelfde afstand in de middag om het internationale ontmoetingspunt op de Pottaschkopfpas te bereiken.

Rondleidingen<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Elke dag van zondag 15 augustus tot woensdag 18 augustus circuits<\/a> weg<\/a> en MOUNTAINBIKE<\/a> worden aangeboden. Er zijn 6 wegcircuits, genummerd R1, R2, R2a, R3, R4 en R5, en 6 mountainbikecircuits, genummerd V1, V2, V3, V3a, V4 en V5.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Deze routes zijn voornamelijk ontworpen en uitgestippeld door Alain BRAULT, met medewerking van Ludger VORBERG en Didier R\u00c9MOND. De routekaarten zijn geschreven door Alain BRAULT en R\u00e9gis PARAZ. Het \u00abBitche\u00bb-gedeelte van de website en de geolocatietools zijn ontworpen door Mario LABELLE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bijeenkomst op de Col du Pottaschkopf (FR-67-0482): zondag 15 augustus<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Onze jaarlijkse bijeenkomst vindt dit jaar plaats op de top van de Col du Pottaschkopf (FR-67-0482<\/a>) op zondag 15 augustus 2010 vanaf 10.00 uur.
Naast de deelnemers aan de Bitche-reis worden ook leden uit aangrenzende regio's (Elzas, Lotharingen, Champagne-Ardenne, Rijnland-Palts, Saarland, Hessen en Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg in Duitsland) van harte uitgenodigd om deel te nemen aan deze gezellige gelegenheid.
Voor degenen die alleen naar de Col du Pottaschkopf rally komen en de weg- of mountainbikeroute op zondag willen doen, dit zijn de R2 of R2a routes voor wegrijders en de V1 routes voor mountainbikers in de \u00abRoutes\u00bb sectie hieronder. Je kunt ook een picknickmand bestellen voor de dag van de rally door het inschrijfformulier in te vullen (lijn Lunchmand alleen voor mensen die niet het verblijfspakket van \u20ac10 nemen). Vergeet niet de datum van zondag 15 augustus te vermelden. Details over hoe deze manden kunnen worden opgehaald worden later op deze pagina gegeven.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
