Plaatsnaamkunde<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

De Telegraphe Pas (FR-73-1566<\/a>) is vernoemd naar een toren in de Chappe telegraaf<\/a>, gebouwd in 1807 op de rand van de klif. De T\u00e9l\u00e9graphe Fort<\/a> dicht bij de pas profiteerde optimaal van zijn strategische positie boven de Maurienne-vallei.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

De Col du T\u00e9l\u00e9graphe ligt in de Cerces massief<\/a>,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Geologie<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

De weg van de Col du T\u00e9l\u00e9graphe, zodra je St-Michel-de-Maurienne verlaat, wordt in het westen gedomineerd door de rotsachtige bar van de Pas du Roc. Het lagere deel van dit kalksteenmassief wordt doorkruist door de rivier Arc, die de kloof D\u00e9fil\u00e9 du Pas du Roc heeft uitgeslepen. Het massief stijgt vervolgens steil naar het Fort en de Col du T\u00e9l\u00e9graphe. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zodra u de pas oversteekt, stort u zich in de vallei van Valloirette. De bergstroom heeft zijn bedding gegraven in het holle deel van de plooiing van het reli\u00ebf onder invloed van tektonische strekkingen, de synclinale, terwijl het Fort en de pas zich in het bolle deel van dezelfde plooiing bevinden, de oostelijke anticlinale. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

De Col d'Albanne (FR-73-1652<\/a>) bevindt zich op de westelijke anticlinaal.<\/p>\n\n\n

Hydrografie<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

 De pas ligt op een LPE tussen zijrivieren van de Arc, waaronder de Valloirette in het westen, en zijrivieren van de Ruisseau des Seignes in het oosten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Toegang en naburige pas<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

De D902 verbindt Saint-Michel de Maurienne (in het noorden, 11,8 km - hoogte 730 m) met Valloire (in het zuiden, 4,8 km - hoogte 1430 m) via de Col du T\u00e9l\u00e9graphe.<\/p>\n\n\n

Tijdens de afdaling naar Valloire komt de D902 door het gehucht Le Col (FR-73-1522<\/a>), het is een flankpas die voorkomt in de Club des Cent Cols catalogus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 Het ligt op een waterscheiding tussen zijrivieren van de Valloirette.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Wijziging van toegang<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Tijdens de BRA's van 1936 tot 1942 (de BRA's werden elk jaar gehouden) liep de route door een tunnel die ongeveer 500 m voor de huidige kruising begon (aan de kant van Valloire) en uitkwam in een bocht bij het nog steeds bestaande \"maison cantonni\u00e8re\" aan de kant van de Arc-vallei. Deze tunnel werd in 1944 door de Duitsers vernietigd. (de ARO vond niet plaats in 1943 en 1944)<\/em>. Er is een weg geopend over de huidige pas. Instortingen en begroeiing hebben de ingang van deze tunnel stroomopwaarts en stroomafwaarts volledig geblokkeerd, en er is zelfs niet het minste spoor van te zien ...<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wat te zien - toerisme\u00a0<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

1 km ten noorden van de pas, Le T\u00e9l\u00e9graphe Fort<\/strong>, (zelden genoemd Fort Berwick<\/strong>), ligt op een hoogte van 1.620 meter. Het kijkt 900 meter uit over de Maurienne-vallei.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hier stond oorspronkelijk een treinstation. telegrafie<\/a> Chappe<\/a> (optische telegrafie met gelede armen), gelegen op de lijn van Lyon naar Milaan (daarna Veneti\u00eb in 1809). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Het fort werd gebouwd tussen 1886 en 1890 en behoort tot de S\u00e9r\u00e9 de Rivi\u00e8res-systeem<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n
