Hubert Marin overleed een paar dagen voor Kerstmis, in zijn 88e jaar. Hij en zijn vrouw Anne-Marie verlieten de club enkele jaren geleden, maar maakten zelf nog enkele uitstapjes op VAE.
Ancien ouvrier \u00e0 Ugine, il \u00e9tait \u00e0 la retraite depuis 37 ans\u2026 et nous en avions bien profit\u00e9 ! Car Hubert avait \u00e9norm\u00e9ment compt\u00e9 pour le club, \u00e0 tous les sens du terme. B\u00e9n\u00e9vole pr\u00e9sent pendant des d\u00e9cennies, il avait \u00e9t\u00e9 notre tr\u00e9sorier pendant plus de dix ans, jusqu\u2019en 1992. Vice-pr\u00e9sident pendant deux ans, il avait ensuite rejoint ses chers comptes, et la tenue du stock de v\u00eatements, en devenant tr\u00e9sorier adjoint de 1995 \u00e0 2008. Trente ann\u00e9es au bureau du club : un bel engagement !<\/p>\n\n\n

Mais Hubert \u00e9tait aussi un cyclo exceptionnel, assidu. En 1979, il avait \u00e9t\u00e9 nomm\u00e9 \u00ab meilleur cyclo \u00bb de l\u2019ann\u00e9e (\u00e0 une \u00e9poque o\u00f9 nous comptions rigoureusement des points pour les sorties dans les randonn\u00e9es des clubs ext\u00e9rieurs !). Mais Hubert b\u00e9n\u00e9ficiait d\u2019un moteur encore plus exceptionnel : sa femme, Anne-Marie. Ils \u00e9taient ensemble au club, ensemble \u00e0 la tr\u00e9sorerie, ensemble pour g\u00e9rer nos tenues. Et ensemble pour passer des cols. Entr\u00e9s au club des Cent Cols en 1982 (lui avec le n\u00b0 1699, elle avec le n\u00b0 1700), ils s\u2019\u00e9taient ensemble pris au jeu. D\u00e8s la retraite venue, ils avaient grimp\u00e9 dans le classement, profitant du nouveau temps libre pour \u00e9cumer les massifs de France ou d\u2019\u00e0 c\u00f4t\u00e9. Nul ne sait comment, mais Anne-Marie prit un peu d\u2019avance sur Hubert avant leur milli\u00e8me col, avance qu\u2019elle a conserv\u00e9 jusqu\u2019au bout ! Ils avaient d\u00e9j\u00e0 2000 cols avant la semaine f\u00e9d\u00e9rale de 1997, qui nous avait bien occup\u00e9s. Le 3000e fut pass\u00e9 en 2002, le 4000e en 2006 et le 5000e en 2014, \u00e0 76 ans\u2026 Hubert ronchonnait parfois, mais il fallait suivre, en esp\u00e9rant venir se reposer dans sa maison de Venthon, avec un jardin et des pommiers \u00e0 tenir\u2026
De club biedt Anne-Marie, hun dochters Sylvie en Corinne en hun kleinkinderen haar oprechte deelneming aan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
