FR-30 Saint-Hippolyte-du-Fort – Route 95 km, elevation gain 1,820 m, 13 mountain passes

Departure Saint-Hippolyte-du-Fort, in the town centre from the Pradet car park next to the gymnasium just after the Galaberte secondary school.

Tourist information

This route winds through the lower reaches of the Aigoual massif, amidst landscapes of scrubland and Cévennes forests. This area is sparsely populated, and you will pass through tiny villages.

Technical specifications

The route is entirely on roads. Halfway along the route is Lasalle, a small town with shops and a water source next to Saint-Pierre Church. Otherwise, there are water sources in Colognac and Saint-Roman-de-Codières, just before the church.

In Lasalle, the Col du Lièvre is steep for 600 metres; you can add the Col de l'Oursine with a 4 km round trip.

After Sumène, the Lac pass is approximately 10% over 3 km; option to add Cap de Coste with a 4 km round trip.
