The partnership between the Spanish Cycling Federation and the Cent Cols club

The Club des Cent Cols has many French, Swiss and Belgian members in its ranks, which is explained by the club's origins and its very French-speaking operation until very recently. But that hasn't stopped other cyclists from non-French-speaking countries joining us over the years. Today, the club has members of 15 different nationalities. In fact, the President of the Club des Cent cols, who will be elected in 2021, is Italian himself, one of a group of 85 compatriots.

L’Espagne est le pays au monde qui compte le plus de cols (18.000). Mais alors, pourquoi n’avons-nous jamais dépassé le nombre de 2 membres espagnols dans la même année ?

En profitant du séjour d’été qu’organise chaque année le Club des Cent cols, séjour qui en 2022 était organisé au Pays Basque, une entrevue a eu lieu au col frontalier de Lizarrietta (FR-64-0441 or ES-NA-0442a) entre Mer José-Luis Junquera, président de la FECT et Bernard Giraudeau, responsable de la communication du CCC.

This initial meeting led to the signing of an "International Employee Club" agreement with the FECT from the end of 2022.

The shared intention of this agreement is for the 2 parties to become better known to each other.

Pour les membres espagnols de la FECT, apprécier de collectionner les cols de montagne, connaître les activités du Club des Cent Cols, le “catalogue des cols d’Espagne”, plus généralement le catalogue mondial des cols, et les deux randonnées permanentes du club tracées en Espagne, l’Ultreia, de Barcelone à Saint-Jacques de Compostelle et la Divisoria, le long de la ligne de séparation des eaux Atlantique – Méditerranée de St-Jean-Pied-de-Port (France) à Gibraltar.

To this end, the Club des Cent Cols provides the FECT with everything it needs to share its passion for mountain biking.

For the members of the Club des Cent Cols, who have already been touring Spain for a long time because of its wealth of passes, the idea is to publicise the specific cycling features of the FECT, such as the " Radiales Ibericas "
