Luigi Capellani

Bon voyage to our Hundred Passes friend Luigi Capellani, killed yesterday by a lorry on his beloved bicycle. After 2904 passes, he will see us from the universe.
Rest in peace Luigi!

It is with great emotion that I announce the death of a friend, a great cyclist and a long-standing member of the Club.
Luigi Capellani, no. 4223, aged 75, died on Friday following an accident while training on his bike, when he was run over by a lorry near his home.
Luigi was an experienced cyclist who had taken part in the Paris-Brest-Paris and Boston-Montreal-Boston races six times.
His goal in 2023 was to cross the 3000th col. I offer my condolences and those of the Club des Cent Cols to his family.

I don't know the circumstances of this tragic accident, but I'm still annoyed by the statement that the cyclist was killed by a lorry. No, he was killed by a lorry driver.
