I offer Maryse the condolences of the Club des Cent cols and my personal condolences. Daniel was much more than a member of the Club, he was a charming person, excellent company and a friend to me.
I'll have many fond memories of the time we spent together on Club trips.

We met during the CCC stays. He amazed me with his power on the climbs.
We northerners will miss his voice and his southern accent.
He will also be missed by his cycling and ski clubs, where he was very active.
Our thoughts are with those who remain, his family and especially Maryse, to whom our thoughts go at this painful time.

It took me a bike ride to find the courage to react. What can I add to your tributes? Right from the start, he blew me away on the downhills: not holding on to the handlebars, his hands at his sides in airbrakes! Yes, Alain, we lost sight of him on the climbs, but when we got to the top, his ONCE jersey was waiting for us. Bernard, I remember the quest at Lavagna: parodying Roberto Bénigni and kissing the maître d'hôtel's feet! For the rest, Maryse will have courage and can count on all of us...

Daniel has left us too soon. It was always a pleasure to meet him and Maryse on our trips.
We were lucky enough to welcome them to the Alpes du Nord regional meeting on 26 June 2017. Maryse, who lives in Cannes, came to celebrate her 1,000th pass at the Col de La Croisette on the Salève mountain!
