Concentration Cent Cols et Cols Durs at the Col de la Salette on 7 October 2007
This year, the "Cent Cols" and "Cols Durs" brotherhoods had abandoned the Pyrenees for the Montagne Noire, choosing the Col de Salettes as the venue for their joint gathering. This pass, located on the edge of the Parc Naturel Régional du Haut Languedoc, on the Aude-Hérault and Tarn borders, separates the deep Argent-Double valley from that of the Thoré. Despite the greyness of the pale autumnal day, some 140 cyclists from all walks of life - some on mountain bikes, some on road bikes - turned out for this traditional end-of-season event.
It was another very successful event, with the emphasis on friendship and conviviality. See you next year at the Col de Mortis in the Hautes-Pyrénées.
