Northern Alps, Col du Tra (73), 26 June 2021

Col du Tra, Saturday 26 June 2021

Rendez-Vous

This year, we're looking forward to seeing you in the centre of the small village of Notre-Dame-du-Pré in Savoie, on the Col du Tra, in the canton of Moutiers.
For more information on the venue itself, go to " cœurdetarentaise-tourisme.com "

Departure, 9.00 am

Group departures are possible from the Métaux-spéciaux factory car park in Pomblière Saint Marcel.
- The Col du Tra can be reached directly via the ascent from the plains, a 12-kilometre climb with a 650-metre difference in altitude and 27 switchbacks through forest and alpine pastures.
- Another route from the factory car park: take the dedicated cycle path through the Siaix tunnel to Centron along the banks of the Isère, then Villette and Aime. Head towards La Plagne and at the bottom of the climb follow signs for Montalbert Longefoy, then Notre Dame.
- Mountain bikers can set off from the Col du Tra for Mont Jovet, the highest point in the commune at 2558 metres. From the Jovet refuge (good trails), you can do a loop to reach the Col des Cornes (FR-73-2050a), the Col du Jovet (FR-73-2404), the Col du Lac (FR-73-2359b) and the Pas des Brebis (FR-73-2439a).

Home

As usual, from 10 o'clock onwards, we look forward to welcoming you to share a friendly drink accompanied by local produce. At 11.30am, Madame le Maire, councillor for the département, will honour us with her visit.

The town council has reserved an area for motorhomes at Notre Dame du Pré. It's flat with a breathtaking view of the mountains.

Campsite

There is a small campsite in the commune of Notre Dame du Pré, at the Glaisy climbing crag. Refreshments are available at La Fruitière grocery shop in the centre of the village.
