Alpes du Nord regional meeting, Col de Tamié on 2 June 2018

Four possible climbs from Albertville (73), Mercury (73), Frontenex (73) or Faverges (74)

We propose a group departure from Albertville, parking at the entrance to the town coming from Ugine, along the Quai des Allobroges.
Meet at 8am for a group start at around 8.30am (weighted by the Savoyard quarter-hour).

Meet at the Col de Tamié car park (100 m from the pass) at around 11.30am to share bread, sausage, cheese and a friendly drink.
Close to the pass, the fortress of Tamié, the most important in the Combe de Savoie, and Tamié Abbey.
Regional products in the fort's shop and at nearby Tamié Abbey.
Camper vans can be parked in the car parks at the Col and Fort de Tamié.

Circuits

Route 1 (4 passes), 22 km, altitude difference 800 m : Go over the bridge towards Beaufort, take the cycle lane immediately to the left as you leave the bridge and head towards Ugine, join Thénésol, climb to the Col du Vorger (707 m) then Allondaz, Chevronnet where you pass the Coleron (565 m), then head towards Mercury, turn right before Mercury towards La Soffaz, climb to the Collet de Tamié (955 m), and leave it running until you reach the Col de Tamié (907 m).
Route 2 (3 cols), 14.5 km, ascent 700 m: Leave via the town, Saint-Sigismond, Pertuis, Le Villard, and climb to Chevronnet where you join circuit 1.
