Tours

As usual, small circuits route and mule drivers will be on offer on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Although the immediate region doesn't have many passes, it will be possible to pick out a few (Col de Gigean, Pas d'Estang (road), Col de Montméjean) and a little further afield with a short set-up the Pas de Gallardet (road). The Gardiole massif is criss-crossed by some great rolling trails.

Jean-Marie Cayuela CC 7169 is working out the mule routes and will be accompanying the participants, while Alex Poyer CC 862 is proposing the road routes.

For non-pedallants, visits may include:

  • The ancient Mediterranean garden at Balaruc-les-Bains
  • Sète (a city bursting with colour and dotted with canals). Don't miss: the marine cemetery, home to the graves of Jean Vilar and Paul Valéry, the Pointe Courte, the Pierres Blanches...
  • the Gallo-Roman house in Loupian
  • the former cathedral of Saint-Pierre-de-Maguelone
