 Report

Sunshine and warmth were the order of the day at St-Imier in the Bernese Jura to make this "road" event a success.

25 participants from the two clubs (and Nathalie of course... who had travelled all the way from France) met in the car park of the football ground at 8.30am for coffee.

At 9 a.m. two groups were formed: led by Christian, group *C* covered 56 km (850 m ascent) with the Pierre Pertuis and Tanne passes on the programme (with a short Coca stop at Bellelay) and the Mont Crosin pass to finish. Group *B*, led by yours truly, covered the same route, but with a little more distance (68 km, 1100 m ascent) via Saignelégier and at a slightly higher speed.

On the way back, bread and cheese provided by the Club Cyclotouriste de la Riviera made for another very convivial meal. Thanks to Jean-Jacques and Jean-Yves for the bottles of Clairette.

Sporting greetings

Your TD

Pierre Mai
