+ A few ideas of passes to (re)discover
Road passes
GENESTE or RIMA 38-1081. Short, steep climb from the village of Ambel
FESTREAUX 05-1106. Stiff on both sides but relatively short
ESPARCELET 05-1510a. A must, as it's where you'll find yourself. It's a steep climb from the hamlet of Prés Hauts but there's the promise of a good aperitif at the summit...
NOYER 05-1664. A classic
Mule passes
COLLAR 05-1207. Nice R1
BLACHE 05-1380. Easy R1 from Les Infournas. You can continue towards the very beautiful Col de l'Escalier (05-2157, R1 then S1-2).
PRES HAUTS 05-1478. Very easy access from the route de l'Esparcelet
VACHERS 05-1900b. Good rolling start, ends in S2 (S1 almost complete on descent)
PERINE 05-2107. One of the few over 2000 in the region. R1 then S1-2-3 relatively short (perhaps there are ferocious patous?).
