FFCT licences at the Club des Cent Cols
To date, the Club des Cent Cols FFCT has 1er May 2023, with 116 members.
A comparison of the number of licence holders between 2017 and 2023 shows
- a decline between 2017 and 2020,
- Then, a reversal of the trend in 2021, followed by steady growth today, reaching 28 new licence holders at the club, including seven new club members and new licence holders at the FFCT.

The policy of the Club des Cent Cols in this area has never been to try to poach members with a local club in order to obtain more FFCT licences. But rather to
- poaching CCC members registered as individual members of the FFCT
- convince members who are not FFCT members to become members
Hervé Retière, secretary of the Club des Cent Cols, implements this policy based on close relationships with members and explains his method to us:
- For the transfer of FFCT «Individual Members» to the Club des Cent Cols, I contacted them individually.,
- Some members asked me for an OR discount code, even though I noticed that they were not members of any club on their membership form. I took the opportunity to contact them and convince them to join the CCC, highlighting the major benefits (insurance, safety, licence price, friendly atmosphere at the club, and also the fight to retain the Challenge de France trophy won in 2022).
- Other members who belonged to a club that ceased to exist in 2023 (non-reaffiliation of the club) have joined us.
- Finally, I met members in Loudéac during the drinks reception organised at the Semaine Fédérale, and on the trails. Often, they didn't know that there was an FFCT club within our Confrérie (word of mouth!!!).
In the end, the renewal of 2022 licences was completed with an increase of almost 30 memberships, despite the loss of five members (two due to age, two due to SF organisation and one person who joined a local club).
