Tourist information
The route begins on the banks of the Meurthe, passing by the site of the former Pompey steelworks (where the steel used in the Eiffel Tower originated) at the confluence of the Meurthe and Moselle rivers. It then follows the banks of the Moselle, climbs to the plateau and rejoins the Moselle a second time. This route takes in some of the passes listed in accounts of the early days of the 1914 / 1918 war (the Battle of Grand Couronné).
