General Meeting on 28 and 29 November 2009 in Yenne (Savoie)
Presentation
A small town of 2,650 inhabitants on the banks of the Rhône in the Savoyard foreland, YENNE had the honour of being chosen to host our 2009 General Meeting.
The local club "Cyclotouristes Yennoiswhich currently has around forty members, was created in 1976. Since then, local leaders have made the 1er May, a date not to be missed by regional cyclos, as they organise the famous "Rallye du Petit-Bugey" (31 May).e edition with 900 participants in 2008). While they have a great deal of experience in this field, they are new to hosting an international event. However, the 5 Yenne members of the C.C.C. will do their utmost to make your stay in Savoie as pleasant as possible, and to try and match the success of our friends from CHATEAU-ARNOUX, MONTAUBAN, MOLLANS and SILLINGY at the last AGMs.
In YENNE, we have booked the " Clos des Capucins for the meeting, meals and overnight stays. You can stay from Saturday lunchtime until Sunday afternoon. There is also parking available for motorhomes. Please note that the Saturday evening meals and overnight stays are now fully booked. There are still a few places available for Saturday and Sunday lunches.
Accommodation is also available at Le Clos des Capucins on Friday and Sunday evenings, although it is closed on these two evenings. Contact the Clos directly. Around YENNE, there are around twenty mountain passes, some more famous than others: we'll guide you along road or mule tracks to add to your list of achievements. Walkers will also be supervised on Sunday mornings.

Candidates for election to the Board of Directors
The Board of Directors elected for 4 years in December 2005 will be up for re-election at this General Meeting on 28 November 2009. All the candidates are now known. For the first time in the Club's history, we have more candidates than statutory positions on the Board of Directors: 9 candidates for 8 positions, a sign of vitality that demonstrates the interest shown by these nine people who want to invest in the Club's future.
Given the importance of this election, we are making available to you in advance the nomination papers (containing the profession of faith of each candidate), which you will also find in Infos Cent Cols (at the beginning of November) along with the ballot papers. We therefore urge you to read these files carefully so that you can make an informed choice when you vote; you can also contact the candidates individually to ask them any relevant questions about the role they want to play in the new Board. Access to the information sheets is restricted to members who are entitled to vote (i.e. who are up to date with their membership fees).
Tours
On Sunday 29 November there will be one road circuit (called R1) and two mountain bike circuits (called V1 and V2), with some passes appearing on several circuits and therefore repeated. The passes are indicated in the order in which they are crossed on each circuit. Distances and gradients are approximate.
From geolocation files for use on your GPS, Google Earth and Carto Explorer are also available.
