Grand-Est, Pont-à-Mousson (54), Saturday 3 September 2022

The Grand-Est 2022 regional event will be held in Pont-à-Mousson (54700) on Saturday 3 September.

The meeting place will be in the town of Pont-à-Mousson on the swimming pool car park (marked by the black arrow on the map below and very well signposted in the town).

Meet at 8.30am for a welcome coffee. Group departure around 9am.

The proposed route is road only. It will include the RUDEMONT pass (FR-54-0250) and 2 new passes which will be included in the next addendum.

The route is around 45 km long and partly follows the greenway that runs alongside the Moselle.
At the time of my visit (9/2/22), the road down from the Col du Rudemont (FR-54-0250) to Novéant was muddy and the tarmac very worn. It was possible to make a U-turn at the pass and join the rue de l'ancienne douane at the bottom of Arnaville and continue along the voie verte towards Metz.

While the cyclists are happily pedalling, you can visit the premonstratensian abbey or the city of Pont-à-Mousson. You have to see the famous place DUROCIt is triangular and bordered by arcades.
