Massif Central Est regional meeting at Col de Favardy on 25 September 2016

Sunday 25 September 2016, Massif Central est
Col de Favardy, 856 m (Rhône)

Welcome at the pass from 11 a.m. to share bread and cheese in the tradition of the Club des Cent Cols

The Col de Favardy (856 m) is located in the Haut Beaujolais region, which is particularly rich in passes, not far from the Rhône, Loire and Saône et Loire départements, and is one of the 3 highest in the Rhône département.
The surrounding passes are all road passes, with a single mule pass close to the route (Col de la Croix de l'Allier 812 m) that can be reached by an R1 track.
There are only 10 mule-track passes in the Rhône department (and some of them are only surfaced for a few hundred metres), so there's no need to bring a mountain bike.

Routes starting from Lamure-sur-Azergues, (many other possibilities)

Group departures possible, RV at 9 a.m.

72.5 km, 1366 m ascent (68km to Col de Favardy) :
