Meet at the pool car park at 9.30 a.m. for coffee, departure at 10.00 a.m.

23 km, 1,000 m elevation gain, 5 mountain passes: Les Craux (CH-VD-1081), Forcla (CH-VD-1511), Crau (CH-VD-1554), Creux (CH-VD-1434), La Golette (CH-VD-1212).

A Brief Report
19 participants – 4 women and 15 men, including 5 Frenchmen – gathered at the Parc de la Piscine in Château d’Oex. The sun was shining and it was warm, so we’d need to make sure we drank plenty of fluids. After cycling through the village for a very brief warm-up, we got straight down to business. The route was only 23 km long but featured 996 m of elevation gain; the gradient was rarely less than 12%, which gave us plenty of time to admire the scenery!!
As usual, there was a warm atmosphere and a generous spread of drinks and snacks on our return: cheese, focaccia, Lyon sausage brought by Hugues, Clairette de Die, 12 beers and 7 and a half litres of water.
