The club gets a new logo

The club's current website will be 10 years old in 2025. For reasons of security, the slowness of the site, to adapt it to browsing standards and new terminals (computers, smartphones, etc.) which have evolved considerably since its creation, and to ensure that it is well referenced by search engines, the Board has decided to renovate it. A new site should be ready by spring 2025.
Nouvel Œil de Chambéry was commissioned to redesign the site after a careful evaluation of the bids received at our request.
The new website will have a new, modern graphic look, so it seemed appropriate to change the club's logo too.
During the discussions, it was unanimously agreed that a new club logo should be designed for the following reasons:

  • The essential element for a mountain cycling club is missing: the bike!
  • The logo is 30 years old and no longer corresponds to today's aesthetic criteria.
  • A modernised logo will rejuvenate the Club's image and be more attractive to our potential targets.
The committee in charge of redesigning the website carried out a long and thorough project, which enabled the Board to approve the new logo at its meeting on 8 February 2025.

Important aspects have been taken into account:

  • Legibility and purification
  • The design of this logo is minimalist, making it instantly recognisable, even at a small size. The simple shapes and light colours make it easy to read, whether on a screen or printed on a physical medium (paper, textiles, goodies).
  • Adaptability to media
  • This logo has been designed for optimum adaptation to a wide variety of media: websites, clothing, brochures, signage and even derivative products such as water bottles and caps. Its sleek design means it can be faithfully reproduced in monochrome, which is a major advantage for economical or technical applications (stamps, engravings, etc.).
  • Long-lasting visual identity The logo was designed and established using simple geometric shapes and modern typography. These aesthetic choices give it timelessness and alignment with current and future graphic trends.
  • Use for a strong logo and brand
The logo is designed to serve as an element of brand identity. Its simplicity makes it easy for the public to remember.
  • Consistency with the Club des Cent Cols
The Club des Cent Cols needed a logo that embodied the simplicity and elegance of cycling while remaining functional for a diverse audience. The logo respects this mission thanks to :
    - Its modern look, which attracts young cyclists while respecting the club's traditional values.
    - A clear structure that highlights the quintessential message (cycling and mountains).
    • The following characteristics of the Club des Cent Cols have been identified:
      Mountain passes
      Cyclists on their bikes
A road leading to a pass
  • It was decided to use two cyclists of both genders. Both are wearing helmets as a reminder of the importance of safe cycling. To give her the recognition she deserves, it was decided to put the woman in the foreground. She is easily recognisable by the ponytail protruding from her helmet.
