How do you go about it?

Join us!

Do you share our passion for the mountains? Do you enjoy climbing mountain passes? That's what our brotherhood is all about! We warmly welcome new members of all ages, nationalities, abilities and cycling disciplines. So come and join us!

How far have you got?

1°) You have climbed a minimum of 100 mountain passes various including at least 5 above 2000 m, congratulations! If you're ready to join us, just fill in your membership form.

Please note: A pass can only be counted "once" (see game rules, article 1)

In an Excel or Calc file, draw up your list of passes, if possible with their altitudes, and the administrative area (e.g. British county, Swiss canton, French department, Italian or Spanish province) where they are located. For ease of use, you can refer to the solutions suggested in §3.

Then follow this link : membership form

2°) If you haven't reached 100 passes yet, don't despair! Just keep going! We're here to help you!

3°) If you're not sure whether all your passes are authorised by the Club, there are several ways to check your list and plan your next routes.

Draw up your list from our catalogues

Build your list with Openrunner

Tutorial for drawing up the first list of collars :

Go to the website : https://www.openrunner.com/
If you don't have an account, select "Register" (top right-hand corner):

Once you've created an account, log in and to see the location of the passes on the map, click on create a route then create (or import) a gpx file if you've saved a route on your GPS.

On the right-hand side of the map, at the top, there is an icon representing a mountain. When you move your mouse over it, a notification appears telling you that the icon is used to display mountain passes.

Clicking on the icon brings up a 4-choice screen.

If you select "Road passes" and "Mule passes", the map will show all the passes recognised by the Club des Cent Cols, the road passes with a black icon and the mule passes with a red icon.

Clicking on a collar opens a window giving information about the collar. We're interested in the "Collect collars" section.

Click to collect collars, and your collar collection can begin!

If you click on "Col gravi", the pass will be circled in green, or in blue if you click on "Col à faire".

You now understand the purpose of the 2 ticks "show only my climbed passes" or "show only my planned passes" that you encountered when you opened the pass display:

Once you have ticked off all the passes you have climbed, go to your space (accessible via your account name in the top right-hand corner of your screen):

in the left-hand sidebar, choose Club des Cent Cols.

If you have reached the target of 100 passes, including 5 above (or equal to) 2000 m, all you have to do is click on "send for validation".

A file in csv format, compatible with excel, open office or libre office, is then automatically created.

Save it: This is the file you will need to send with your registration request.

Build your list with Ccway

Requires the use of Google Earth or other mapping software (basecamp, compegps, others...)

Quick guide for display on Google Earth: on the Club's website, non-members click on "Passes", then on "CCway". On the map page, click on the flag of the country you want, then make sure you choose "map selection", the pass type example "road pass", and "KML". Click to make a polygon on the map around the region you want. Then click on the button with the down arrow, and the corresponding passes should appear on Google Earth.
