Tourist information
From Génolhac, on the edge of the Gard department, you will cross the Mas de l'Ayre national forest, which borders the heart of the Cévennes National Park. You will follow the Ardèche and Lozère rivers. If you have time, extend your hike to the lake after Villefort (5 km round trip) in Lozère.
Technical specifications
The route is 100% road and cycle path, on quiet roads. The Col du Péras is over 8% over 2 km. The Collet is 7% over 1 km. The Col de l'Ancise is close to 10% over 500 m and the road is in poor condition.
Starting point in Génolhac: water tap in the car park near the café. Water point near the church in the hamlet of Aujac. Please note: after the start, shops are only available in Bessèges and Villefort (1 km off the route).
