FR-30 Génolhac – Route 97 km, elevation gain 1,660 m, 15 mountain passes

Tourist information

From Génolhac, on the edge of the Gard department, you will cross the Mas de l'Ayre national forest, which borders the heart of the Cévennes National Park. You'll pass alongside the Ardèche and Lozère. If you have time, you can continue on to the lake after Villefort (5 km round trip) in Lozère.

Technical specifications

The route is 100% road and cycle, on roads with little traffic. The Col du Péras is more than 8% over 2 km. The Collet is 7% over 1 km. The Col de l'Ancise flirts with 10% over 500 m, and the road is very bad.
At the start in Génolhac: water tap in the car park near the café. Water point near the church in the hamlet of Aujac. Please note: after the start, shops only in Bessèges and Villefort (1 km off the route).
