The European Cycling Union - UECT

An association whose aim is to promote cycle tourism in Europe is bound to arouse the curiosity of the President of the Club des Cent Cols.

An association with a large number of members from several European countries has also attracted the attention of the President of the European Cycling Union.

One thing led to another and through meetings between Patrice Godart, president of the UECT, who is also a member of the CCC, and Bernard Giraudeau, then president of the CCC, the benefits of collaboration between our two associations became apparent.

This tacit agreement is based on an obvious observation. We share the same desire to raise our profile among European cycle tourists, using different but complementary means and communication channels.

UECT has a network of partners made up of 8 national federations bringing together more than 200,000 cycle tourists. The UECT offers rides between European capitals on European Traits d'Unionsand organises an annual meeting, the European Week, in a different country each year.

Le CCC is familiar with the terrain throughout Europe thanks to its national collar catalogues and can therefore complement these UECT organisations. Whenever possible, we will help to promote the achievements of the European Cycling Union, in which we participate indirectly by providing data from our mountain passes. These will be our best ambassadors for promoting the Club des Cent Cols.
