Departure Vernoux-en-Vivarais, gymnasium and swimming pool car park, just north of the town.

Tourist information

The course borders the Monts d'Ardèche between 350 m and 750 m altitude. Vernoux-en-Vivarais is located in the Haut-Vivarais region.

Technical specifications

The route is 100%. There are 3 difficult kilometres before reaching the Col de la Mure. There is little traffic except on the outskirts of Vernoux-en-Vivarais, but it's still reasonable.
Plenty of shops in Vernoux, a few shops and a fountain in Alboussière, otherwise it's hard to find water and food elsewhere.
This route can be split into two loops, allowing you to take a lunch break.
The Tracol (FR-07-0740b) can be added to this route by climbing 600m of very steep terrain along a narrow path from the Col de la Justice. A passing car forced me to put my foot down halfway up; disillusioned after a more than intense effort, I didn't want to finish the climb.
