Departure Vernoux-en-Vivarais, gymnasium and swimming pool car park, just north of the town.

Tourist information

The course borders the Monts d'Ardèche entre 350 m et 750 m d’altitude. Vernoux-en-Vivarais is located in the Haut-Vivarais region.

Technical specifications

Le parcours est routier à 100%. Il y a 3 km difficiles avant d’atteindre le col de la Mure. Il y a peu de circulation sauf aux abords de Vernoux-en-Vivarais mais ça reste raisonnable.
Plenty of shops in Vernoux, a few shops and a fountain in Alboussière, otherwise it's hard to find water and food elsewhere.
This route can be split into two loops, allowing you to take a lunch break.
A ce parcours on peut rajouter le Tracol (FR-07-0740b) en franchissant 600 m de côte très raide par un chemin étroit à partir du col de la Justice. Le passage d’une voiture m’a obligé à mettre pied à terre à mi-chemin; désabusé après un effort plus qu’intense je n’ai pas voulu terminer l’ascension.
