One hundred passes in the Haut-Languedoc
Presentation
A 790km route between Mont Aigoual and Monts de Lacaune, with 114 passes, 12 optional passes and an altitude difference of around 15,000 metres.
Traced by Pierre Gasc (Cent Cols n°1531).
Theme
The Club des Cent Cols, founded in 1972, is affiliated to the French Cycling Federation under No. 6384, offers you this permanent walk based on a simple theme: "One hundred passes".
One hundred passes, either to enable you to join the Confrérie du Club des Cent Cols, or to enable you to progress up the Confrérie's "Tableau d'Honneur", or in any case to help you discover or rediscover the Haut Languedoc.
One hundred passes will take you on a breathtaking mountain bike tour of the Languedoc, from the mountains of Espinouse, Caroux and Lacaune in the south-west to the Cévennes peaks of Mont Aigoual in the north-east. The discovery of a unique heritage: sometimes arduous passes, but also exceptional natural sites such as the Cirque de Navacelles. And finally, the discovery of a region with a rich past, with traces dating back to prehistoric times, such as the mysterious "statue-menhirs" that line the first loop of this astonishing hike.
