Departure Schiltach: several free car parks, including one along the Kinzig at the junction of Hauptstraße and Auestraße. Alt: 330 m.
For accommodation, I recommend the Gasthof Zum Weyßen Rößle. Rosemarie Wolber is very friendly and speaks French. The food is very good.

Tourist information

As you pass through the villages, you'll see the carefully decorated houses that are so typical of this mid-mountain region. There are numerous viewpoints along the way.

Technical specifications

Ce parcours ne présente pas de difficulté, et a été effectué avec un VTT équipé de pneus gravel de 40, sans aucun souci. C’est un parcours d’environ 50 % de belles pistes roulantes et le reste sur routes asphaltées.
Pour l’accès au Dohlenbacher Höhe DE-BW-0476, je conseille au niveau de la boucle de monter et descendre par le côté que j’ai descendu, environ 300 m, car la partie que j’ai montée m’a obligé à franchir une barrière électrifiée, et à rouler à l’intérieur du champ.
Once you have reached the Steig pass DE-BW-0505a, an easy 200 m push leads to a track.
As with most routes in the Black Forest, there are often some fairly steep gradients.
