DE-BW Black Forest Schonach - Gravel 40 km, D+ 1500 m, 14 passes

Departure Parking: there is a small car park on Hauptstraße in Schonach im Schwarzwald, near the Mühleweiher pond. Alt: 871 m.

Tourist information

The route winds its way through forests, fields and meadows. There are a number of viewpoints along the way. The architecture of the old houses is a must-see.

Technical specifications

This route is not difficult and was completed with a gravel bike. It's a course of around 60 % of nice rolling tracks and the rest of tarmac roads.
At km 15.8 we have to do a short push to reach a track that leads to the Storenwald Höhe DE-BW-0680b pass.
As with most routes in the Black Forest, there are often some fairly steep gradients.
