Departure : Lochieu, Bugey-Valromey museum car park. The route starts at the hairpin bend after Bordèze, on the D120 towards Grand Colombier (parking available).

Tourist information

The route is mostly along ridges. On the Grand Colombier ridge, there is an orientation table with 360° views of Valromey, the Jura, the Alps, and Lakes Bourget, Léman, and Annecy. There is a refreshment bar at the summit of Grand Colombier during the summer season. Another point of interest is the museum of Bugey-Valromey of Lochieu.

Technical specifications

Cycling route at approximately 95%: some descents may be tricky on gravel.

Note: The route between the Charbemènes Pass and the Grand Colombier Pass can be completed via the ridge trail, but this involves pushing and carrying your bike for 1.7 km with a 200 m elevation gain.
