Author Bernard Giraudeau

Course completed in 2022

Departure Sagone, crossroads D81 / D70 in the centre of the village. Height: 5 m

Tourist description

This tour is one of the 2 or 3 most beautiful itineraries in Corsica.

Leaving Cargèse, the view rushes towards the small gulfs of Peru and Chiuni. Piana is one of the most beautiful villages in France, and the Gulf of Porto comes in three colours: green for the forest, blue for the sea and red for the rocks. The famous "calanques" are located between Piana and Porto. Here, the red granite is eroded into lace.

The climb up to Evisa, through the valley of the River Porto and its tributaries, is never tiring.

The roads are of good quality. The climb to the small Curnatoghiu pass is steep, and the pass is not the highest point before Cargèse! The road is also steep just after the Sevi pass, but it's downhill!
