Gérard CLAUDON
CC 4950 Gérard Claudon died on 11 June 2024
A seasoned cyclotourist, he was President of the VCR Mandres les Roses (94) for 20 years. He took the club from 60 to over 100 members, including 40% women.
He organised several trips for his club, not to mention itinerant tours and other Federal Weeks. He organised 8 Paris Brest Paris trips.
A great enthusiast of the Cyclomontagnardes, he took his members on 2 or 3 of these events a year (he had 10 BRAs to his name). So it was only natural that he should join the Club des Cent Cols, with a total of 1,175 passes, including 70 '2000s'.
But his strongest point was his many activities with young people in day-care centres during the school holidays, organising "Tous à Vélo" days. Not forgetting his support for the "Aère tes globules" association for children with sickle cell anaemia (a blood disorder) at Robert Debré Hospital, during which he lent out bikes and provided coaching.
