We have learned of Jacques' death after a long and difficult period for his wife Michelle.
A member of the Sologne-Cyclo club in Romorantin (41), he loved discovering the mountains with our club. He was a regular on spring trips to Ripoll, Rémuzat, Digne and Gillette (where he climbed his 1,000th mountain pass) and on summer trips to Lescheraines, Yraval and Bussang, accompanied by Michelle.
For me, he was a very good companion on the road, or on the walk to get to the most unlikely passes, never resigned, never discouraged! His good humour made him much appreciated by the cent-colistes I met who asked me for news of him after he stopped working a few years ago.
We will treasure the memories of the times we shared.
