Léon Lequebe
A few words to announce the death of our friend Léon LAQUEBE who passed away on 18 September 2023 at the age of 86.
Léon joined the centcols club thanks to our friend Serge Groleau (who died a few years ago), a great friend of Henri DUSSEAU, around 2005 with the N° 5469.
He has taken part in 5 trips, the 1st to Agay and the last to Gilette in 2015 with Patrick and Serge, his friends from ASPTT AGEN.
He has 1,111 mountain passes to his name, including 34 over 2,000m, some of which he climbed during a memorable Geneva-Vienna event in 2006.
A native of the Pyrenees, born at the foot of the Col du Soulor, he was particularly fond of his native Pyrenees, which he travelled both by motorbike and by bike.
His massive stature and beautiful bacchantes will, I hope, remain a fond memory for all of you.
