The loops of the Drôme

Presentation

A 1238 km circuit covering 99% in the Drôme department, with 11 loops, 118 passes, 2 optional passes and around 25200m of ascent.

This version of the 100 cols en Drôme hike was drawn up by Jean-Marc Clément of the Confrérie des Cent Cols on the basis of the existing 100 cols en Drôme hike.

The Club des Cent Cols, founded in 1972, is affiliated to the French Cycling Federation under No. 6384, offers you this permanent walk based on a simple theme: "One hundred passes".

One hundred passes, either to enable you to join the Confrérie des Cent Cols, or to enable you to progress up the Confrérie's "roll of honour", or in any case to help you discover or rediscover the Drôme department, so rich in natural and historic sites.

Controls

Eleven controls are compulsory; they will be carried out at points along the route chosen by the hiker, with one control being carried out in each loop (loop numbers are to be found on the route map).

The 11 loops are as follows and depart from :

  1. St Jean en Royans 1: 103 km, 12 passes, D+: 2625 m
  2. St Jean en Royans 2: 91 km, 8 passes, D+: 2350 m
  3. Crest - Die: 110 km, 9 passes, D+: 2585 m
  4. Die - Crest: 114 km, 11 passes, D+: 2100 m
  5. Châtillon en Diois: 116 km, 10 passes, D+: 2235 m
  6. Montélimar: 120 km, 10 passes, D+: 1600 m
  7. Nyons: 112 km, 10 passes, D+: 2315 m
  8. Rémuzat 1: 116 km, 13 passes, D+: 2235 m
  9. Rémuzat 2: 120 km, 9 passes, D+: 2145 m
  10. Buis les Baronnies: 110 km, 11 passes, D+: 2170 m
  11. Montbrun les Bains:126 km, 14 passes, D+: 2800 m
