Questa sezione della pagina delle impostazioni vi permette di modificare alcuni parametri dei file GPX prodotti da ccWay.

Opzioni di base

Potete produrre dei file GPX di base o con l'estensione Garmin GPXX. Here are the basic options.

Formato dei nomi dei waypoint

Giochi di caratteri del file d'uscita GPX

Normally, leave it set to UTF-8 (Unicode) as this is a universal character set that can represent most of the world’s languages. Some programmes cannot handle Unicode, and if you encounter any problems, switch to ISO-8859-1 (the Western European character set). MapSource, Google Earth and most of the programmes you use are based on Unicode. The main sign that your programme cannot read the data is the appearance of «Chinese» characters in place names with accents, for example:

Tag e (commentario e descrizione)

These two tags (internal elements of the GPX file) are more or less equivalent and are used to associate waypoints with more detailed information than their names. On ccWay, the waypoint names are either pass codes or 6-character sintetic names. Il nome del passo e l'accesso al passo (in modalità Membro solamente) sono immagazzinati di default nel e , rispettivamente. Potete cambiare il contenuto di questi due tag ometterli completamente.
NotaLa norma GPX definisce come un commento che è trasferito al GPS, e come un commento per l'utilizzatore umano, non trasferito al GPS. This is a very useful difference and it's up to you to decide how you want to use these fields. On MapSource, the two fields are used, with having priority and being used if the user is seated.

Simboli GPS

Questi simboli sono quelli che saranno utilizzate nei file GPX per designare ciascuna delle 8 categorie di passi (Stradale, Ciclabile, etc...) per i passi già scalati e per i passi da scalare.

They are not governed by any standards, but you should use the simbols that exist in your programme and whose meaning you know as a user. No text or semantic validation is performed by ccWay on the content of these 16 fields. The default values are the numbers from 0 to 7 in pink for steps already scaled and in green for steps to be scaled. The names of the simbols are often in English (see below).

Da notare che se utilizzate l'estensione GPXX specifica di Garmin, questi simboli non saranno utilizzati; dei simboli specifici di ccWay prenderanno il loro posto sui file GPX prodotti in queste condizioni.

Estensione Garmin (GPXX)

This extension, if included, allows you to have a richer file when used with a Garmin program such as MapSource. By default, this extension is not included.

Formato di visualizzazione e allarmi di prossimità (MapSource + GPS)

Se l'estensione GPXX è utilizzato, i simboli dei waypoints del file GPS di base (vedere la sezione precedente) non sono utilizzate. Un gruppo fisso di 24 simboli e la loro utilizzazione sono descritti sura pagina d'aiuto dei formati d'uscita (dettagli).

Potete controllare qui come i waypoint saranno visualizzati su MapSource e sul GPS. Three options are available:

  1. Simboli solamente.
  2. Simboli + step code.
  3. Simbolo + nome del passo.

Di default, solo il simbolo è visualizzato per i passi già scalati, il simbolo e il codice del passo per i passi ancora da scalare.

MapSource and some Garmin GPS devices also have the option to alert you when you are within a certain distance of a waypoint. By default, no proximity alerts are set for routes you have already climbed, whilst for routes yet to be climbed, the proximity radius varies depending on the route: the more difficult the route, the smaller the proximity radius.

The reason is that you’ll be happy to take long detours or make several trips back and forth to reach passes that are relatively easy to access. For the more challenging passes, they generally need to be closer to be worth the detour. These distances (radius of the proximity circle) are in metres. An empty box means the proximity alert is disabled for this type of pass. Above, you can see a diagram of the proximity radii for different types of passes: road passes (white symbols) with a radius of 2,500 metres, and unclassified passes (orange symbols) with a radius of 250 metres.
