General Meeting held on 1 and 2 December 2007 in Fontbonne (Tarn)

In the Grésigne forest with Véloce Club Montauban

To mark the club's 130th anniversary, the Véloce Club Montalbanais is delighted to host the 2007 General Meeting of the Club des Cent Cols, on the edge of the Grésigne forest at the Fontbonne nature reserve ( http://www.fontbonne-tarn.com ), 150 m from Pas de Cabal (FR-81-0431 57 2141 E 245-(051); 79 19 043 182 D87)

Just a few kilometres from the Gaillacois vineyards, we'll do everything we can to satisfy your appetite for curiosity, mountain passes...

You'll be accommodated on site and on Sunday you'll be able to climb the 14 passes in the area: 12 passes in the forest! (see Topo 4, p 39) and two passes a few kilometres away (Pas de la Clède FR-81-0355 (82); Col de Liberté FR-81-0433). Accompanying adults can take a guided tour of the villages of Bruniquel (82) and Penne (81), or go for a walk in the forest or on the local PR trails... Please register on site.

AttentionAccommodation capacity is limited to 100 people, and priority will be given to those who live further away. We believe that those members (Cent Cols) who live relatively close to the AGM venue will be able to return home on Saturday evening and come back on Sunday morning for the cycling tours. On the other hand, as the number of guests will be 120, some will still be able to enjoy the Saturday dinner together.

If you have chosen to travel by train, we will organise a shuttle bus (arriving on Saturday and returning on Sunday). However, to facilitate organisation, please let me know your arrival and departure times, as well as your departure time on Sunday. The "driver" will wear a "Cent Cols" uniform and will be in the station concourse.

If you have chosen train + bike: Francis Touzeau offers to accompany you: same thing, just sign up and let me know your arrival time, if possible before or around 9.00 am. Departure from the SNCF station.

If you wish, a tour of the city's main sites can be organised: meet before or around 9.00 am, leaving from the station; register and let me know your arrival time.

For motorists: signposting will be put in place on the main roads; a reception will be organised on site at the Fontbonne Nature Centre (near Pas de Cabal 81 0431 on the D87) from 10.30am.
