The Parpaillon saga
Le Parpaillon a son tampon - Michel Lerouge CC n° 4029 Montargis - revue n° 25, 1997
The Parpaillon haunted my nights, sometimes making me dream...
Every story about him fascinated me, but a mysterious halo still blurred his image, hid his truth.
So I imagined that one day I would try the adventure, and I was given the opportunity when a cyclist friend decided to spend his holidays in Barcelonnette. I thought it would be a good idea to immortalise this magical moment of crossing the Parpaillon by putting a stamp on our route map as part of a touring trip by bike (or whatever). So I came up with the idea for this original stamp, which may be handmade, but is one of a kind. So, for those of you who have climbed the Parpaillon and would like to have this stamp on your route map, I'd be delighted to stamp your document and return it to you immediately.
And for those who are still hesitating, you can go for it; it's true that going through the tunnel is nerve-wracking, but it's not the most difficult part... Cycling friends, you must do this pass, it's gigantic.
